This was the 4th of my solo releases; released sometime in October 2008.

During the time of making this EP, I was watching a lot of exploitation/grindhouse films and I always found the trailers, for these films, to be the funniest and enjoyable part of it- as well as the ridiculous storylines.
My best friend also turned me on to UK comedies like Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, Man To Man With Dean Learner and Snuffbox. Also, Tarantino & Rodriguez had released their tribute to exploitation films, showing some of the quirks and low budget asthetics of genre films. (e.g. Missing Reels, scratching & static of over used film, poor acting etc)

On V-House Trailers I kinda copied the format of Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, in that it's presented as a lost classic....
A director from the late 70's / early 80's, made several films that were never released & destroyed for whatever reason, but the trailers of these films still exist and have been compiled on a DVD with linear notes about each film, from the Director.

I'm a producer who, for the most part, likes to adopt the traditional side of hip-hop production involving sampling, trying to creatively sample from a variety of sound sources to make musical soundscapes. When sampling is not incorporated, I still try to make my tracks have that sampled aesthetic and sound.

Some of my favourite producers include Pete Rock, The Rza, J Dilla, Dj Premier, The Bomb Squad, Madlib, Timbaland, Kev Brown, Just Blaze, Harry Love, 9th Wonder, Ayatollah, Dangermouse and The Neptunes as well as composers such as John Barry, Bacharach, Quincy Jones, Ennio Morricone & artists like Zappa, Nkengas, Oriental Brothers International, Antony & The Johnsons, Kate Bush, Rick Wakeman & Yes for their use of concepts....

I like to have the dirty- basement sound of RZA or Madlib but also the sonic cleanness of Dilla or Just Blaze.
